Trichy: Trichy District Administration has released a photo of a two and a half-moon baby who was found abandoned in Kallikudi to allow his parents to claim it.
The baby was found abandoned near the baby Jesus Iti in Kallikudi on April 18, 2021.
The local community who saved him told Kallikudi police and Sevai Childline volunteers.
Childline staff rushed the baby to the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGMGH) government hospital.
The doctor confirmed that the baby was left abandoned a few hours after birth.
The date of birth was considered April 18, 2021.
The baby was named Diana.
After being repatriated from the hospital, the baby was taken to the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) in Trichy.
The committee issued temporary detention orders to provide care and protection to babies at Martin’s children’s homes in Trichy.
District administration released a picture of a baby so that anyone who knows details about his parents or relatives can report to CWC Trichy at 0431-2413819, 9629929412 or district child protection unit (DCPU) at 0431-24130555 and 9486146528 in 21 days of announcement.
