Coimbationy: The National Highways Wings of the State Highway Department plans to complete the Trichy Road flyover work with mid and the structure gets a layer of paint.
But the road down at Sungam Junction to connect Sungam-ukkadam bypass has not been built.
The delay in moving families in the nearest houses is to delay road construction, said the Wingways Wing official.
“Even though Tamil Nadu Nadu Slum Clearance Board has given a residential unit for 30-strange families in Pullowaadu, the unit has not received an electric connection.
We have followed up with the Urban Urban Habitat Development Board and the electricity department and power connections will be provided in a few days,” he said .
The work, launched in March 2019 at a cost of 250 crorses, is expected to be completed in December.
Meanwhile, commuters have urged the authorities to open a complete stretch, which will also help the ambulance to reach Coimbatore Medical College Hospital quickly.
“Let the highway official take the time to complete the road.
The stretch that has been completed must be opened because it will solve congestion in the Junction of Sungam and Ramanathapuram,” said Abdul Abassi, Regular Commuter.
