Rajkot: Police Jamnagar submitted an additional cost sheet to Mafia Jayesh Patel and his syndicate in the Special Gujkoc Court of Rajkot on Tuesday.
The police have submitted a cost sheet of gang nine months ago.
In a 2,000-page document, various documentary evidence and technically highlighted shows how syndicates extort money from the victims organized.
It also highlights the activity of the syndicate and mode of different operandi which is employed by the gang and the role of each member.
It also describes their hawala network and how they send money abroad.
Depending on TOI, police supervisor, Jamnagar, Pandey Nitish said, “We have recovered more evidence during the investigation and has sent this in a special field through a complement to the cost sheet.
We have sent documentary evidence such as victims’ statements and witnesses, property documents, and evidence Technically like the detailed record of the call where Patel and members of the call of gang members when talking to the victim.
“The police have produced evidence of several Mo Patel syndicates used including putting the target.
(Victim) on supervision, get all minute details from the victims and family members.
After that, Patel will call and threaten the victim providing the right details including what family members worn, where they are, what vehicles they use etc.
Then he will tell the victim that if he won’t obey his extortion request, then he will be responsible for the consequences.
The second mo used was threatening the victim to increase disputes in its properties.
After the property becomes no one who bought it and the owner must sell it at a very cheap price.
He will extort money with this threat and repeatedly torturing their victims of coughing, however, are being investigated if he invests money in a foreign country.
The police received evidence of transferring RS 80 Lakh to foreign countries through Hawala.
The police received proof of extorting Rs 10 Crore in cash, which Rs 5 Crore recovered.
The gang has extorted a large amount of land, difficult values calculated.
Of the total 16 accused of syndicate, 12 was arrested by Jamnagar police and submitted in prison.
Jayesh Patel was arrested by British police while three were accused of escaping.
