Bengaluru: The Cybercrime Unit of the Karnataka Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested three people from Haryana for allegedly providing a SIM card to those involved in various modes of criminal activities, including sextital, throughout the country.
Muhammed Mujahid, Mohammed Ikbal and Asif, in the late 30s, has 120 SIM cards and more than 150 Aadhaar cards.
They have supplied more than 5,000 cards to fraudsters in Rajasthan and its surroundings in the last two years, said the source.
After questioning the defendant arrested, Cid submitted a report to the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Center from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
“We have conducted detailed data analysis and set a link from people captured in 3,951 cases throughout India.
The defendant is a member of the core gang.
