Pune: The market Yard Market was investigating the complaint submitted by a 31-year-old businessman where he said three people calmed him more than RS22 lakh on the promise to help him collect contracts from Mumbai Municipal Corporation.
In accordance with the complaint, the incident occurred between 16 and June 23, when the suspects led the complainants to believe that he would be awarded the contract by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for the supply of covid-19 drugs.
“The complainant has a readymade clothing business, but lying during locking.
He explored the choice when he saw an online advertisement, it was said that BMC, invited an offer from a private contractor for Covid-19 drug supply,” said Senior Inspector Anagha Deshpande on Tuesday.
Deshpande said the complainant dialed the telephone number mentioned in the ad.
The suspect connects the complainant with the other two.
“They teased the complainant by promising to help him secure a contract.
One of them shared GST numbers and other details and told him to pay charges.
He even went to Mumbai and met a suspect,” he said.
“When he failed to land contracts and the suspects avoided his phone call, he realized he was cheated,” Dishpande said.
