Agartala: Some people, including CPI (M) MLA, were injured in clashes between supporters of BJP in power and opposition parties in the South Tripura District, police said on Monday.
CPI (M) holds a road angle meeting on Sunday in Rajnagar on the increase in essential commodity prices, they said.
BJP also gathered a group of party workers across the street and they began to shout slogans, said Soumya Debbarma, Belonia Sub-Division (SDPO) police officers.
“Because of the slogans and counters slogans, the situation immediately turned out to be unstable and the activists of his rival parties began to throw the rocks with each other.
