Kolkata: Increasing heat in Tripura ahead of 2023 assembly polls even when the government led by BJP continues to hold 23 members of the Prashant Kishor organization poll strategy, National Secretary General of TMC Abhishek Banerjee is expected to reach Agartala on Friday, reporting Debashis Konar.
The day before, TMC would send two members of his senior parliament, Derek O’Brien and Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar, to Northeastern State.
Minister of Bengal Moloy Ghatak and Bratya Basu, along with former MPs Ritabrata Banerjee, reached Agartala on Wednesday and asked the Tripura government for sustainable detention from 23 members I-PAC.
The police have slapped the case under the IPC and disaster acts against I-PAC members and they are not allowed to leave their hotel.
Ghatak Sao9d member I-PAC was charged with fake cases.
“They were detained even though they had been tested negatively for Covid-19.
Now they are accused of violating disaster management laws and under IPC Part 188.
BJP must know it by submitting false cases, they cannot intimidate Trinamool.” Trinamool stage becomes Tripura with curiosity with the former cm of Sarkar Manik, a senior CPM leader, questioned the BIPLAB DEB government about the detention of I-PAC members, by saying “Jungle Law” has replaced “legal rules” in the state and accused the state government of being gripped by the state “Fear of psychosis”.
CM Mamata Banerjee, who is now in Delhi, is too questioning the continuing detention of I-PAC members.
“We sent several people to Tripura.
They were arrested at home.
If a journalist goes there, they are threatened like this,” he said.
“A team is already there.
When they return, I will send Abhishek, Derek and others,” he told reporters in Delhi.
