Islamabad: What is called Troika Plus Group in Afghanistan said on Thursday it acknowledged deep concerns about serious liquidity issues faced by the state and would look for ways to relieve access to “legitimate banking services”.
Officials from Pakistan, China, Russia and the United States met at Islamabad and in a joint statement said they were serious about the risk of humanitarian disaster in Afghanistan and the new refugee crisis.
They ask the Taliban to apply “moderate and careful policies”, ensure the rights of women and girls and prevent the use of their territory for militant attacks.
