LONDON: Australian Troy Cooley has returned to work with the English team as a consultant bowling coach ahead of the ashes series which starts next month in Brisbane, The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) was announced on Wednesday.
Cooley was a bowling coach for England when they won ash in 2005 after almost 20 years of drought.
However, he continued to train Australian Bowlers because they did not have a contract extended by the ECB.
He will now work under coach Bowling Pace Elite Jon Lewis in supporting the preparation of the team for the first test of the five-match series began in Brisbane on December 8.
Cooley will then help Australia start from Australia.

“Troy’s understanding of what is needed to be successful in Australia is second to none, and the players will definitely benefit.” The 55-year-old Cooley joined a test and lion specialist for the three-day intra-squad warming match which began on Tuesday at Redlands, Brisbane.
During the previous coaching mantra with England, he played a role in helping players like James Anderson, Andrew Flintoff, Steve Harmison and Matthew Hoggard.
