Greater Noida: The driver of the Eicher truck traveling from Noida to Pratapgarh died after another truck hit his vehicle from behind at Yamuna Expressway at Wee on Thursday.
The impact was such that Eicher truck continued to hit a dumper parked along the toll road near the 32km milestone in Jiwar before it was upside down.
A bad luck truck must be cut to take out the driver from the inside.
The accident occurred around 2am on Thursday when Umadut had just reached a 32km milestone on the streets of Noida-Agra from a high-speed corridor.
“Another truck hit his vehicle from behind.
Eicher trucks hit a stationary dumper, which resulted in Umaduts entangled in the manufacture of his vehicle.
We need two hours to take the severely injured umadut from the vehicle,” said a police officer.
Umadut was rushed to the nearest Kailash Hospital in the Jewar, where he gave up on his injury during treatment.
He survived five children, including four daughters and a son around 17 years old.
Umadut’s family member said they had to know about the accident around 5am on Thursday from a police officer.
“My father has driven a vehicle over the past few years.
It was late on Wednesday night, Umadut began his journey from Noida to Pratapgarh,” Mansi Mishra, the oldest of five Umadut children, told Ti.
Ravi Sharma (18), a stationary dumper driver, also suffered minor injuries in the accident.
“I traveled to Aligarh.
My truck had been broken and I parked it on the side.
Suddenly, this Eicher truck driver arrived and crashed into my dumper from behind,” he said.
Sho Jewar Umesh Bahadur said that the owner and driver of the truck – who had hit UMADUTT vehicles – were identified as Rameshwar Mahto, had been ordered under the IPC 279 (Rash Driving) section and 304 A (death due to negligence).
Mahto, however, was stunned from the police station office when the Surajpur Court was closed on Friday.
