Truck owner Tries to Place himself on fire

Tirupur: A tipper truck owner tried to place himself on fire before Dharapuram police station on Saturday morning. But, cops ceased him.The truck owner has been recognized as S Kanniyappan, 28, of Chinnakkampalayam close Dharapuram. Officials of the department of geology and mining’d captured his truck to illegally hauling dirt in Chinnakkampalayam Aadi Dravidar Colony close Dharapuram on Saturday at 1.30am. The car was later handed to the Dharapuram authorities. About 3am, Kanniyappan seen the Dharapuram police channel, doused himself diesel and attempted to put himself on fire. Police constable Sathishkumar foiled the effort and required Kanniyappan into the hospital in Dharapuram, where he had been treated as a out-patient. TNN
