WASHINGTON: The US Government Agency on Tuesday said 13 senior members of former President Donald Trump Administration violated the law that limited political campaigns by government employees, blaming them to create “taxpayer-funded campaign officials” in the White House.
In the 65 report on the page of US specialty office counsel identified examples where Trump’s adviser including Kushner Jared and Kellyanne used their official authority to promote the 2020 Trump presidential election campaign.
A trump spokesman did not immediately respond to a request to comment on the report.
OSC said discipline was “no longer possible” because Trump administrative officials had left the office, but said it issued a report to highlight the challenges of enforcement and to block violations in the future.
“Together, the report concluded that violations showed the willingness of several in the Trump government to take advantage of the strength of the executive branch to promote the re-election of President Trump and the limits of the power of OSC enforcement,” Osc said in the news release.
“This failure forces discipline creates conditions for what appears as a campaign apparatus funded by taxpayers in the echelon of the executive branch,” IC wrote in the report.
OSC is an independent federal supervisor in U8S.
The government that investigates violations of Hatch Law, laws that limit the political participation and speech of federal employees.
The report was the peak of the investigation which began while Trump in the office after his decision to hold the Republican 2020 National Convention in the White House.
Trump administrative officials have violated the hatching law also includes the pressure secretary Kayleigh McENany, Chief of Staff White House Mark Meadows, Senior Advisor Stephen Miller, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and former Security Secretary of Homeland Chad Wolf.
Pompeo and wolves both ignore repeated warnings of career ethical officials who appear at the political convention will violate the action of hatching, the report was found.
