Tirupati: The Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday appointed Jumbo Trust Board with 29 members and 52 special invitations for Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), which runs the Balaji Lord Temple in Tirumala.
This is the biggest belief council in the history of the richest Hindu endowmen body in the world.
The last belief board has less than 40 powers while the newly formed board has 81 members including Ex-Officio members and special invitations.
Incidentally, the power of the council believes TTD exceeds the Union cabinet by three members.
The Union cabinet has a power of 78 including the prime minister.
Chairman of India India N Srinivasan, Chairman of my house group J Rameshwar Rao, Chair of the Hetero B group B Pardhasaradhi Reddy was appointed back on the new TTD trust board.
Cousin Telugu State Telangana is now represented by seven members against nine on the previous council.
Sources say state government has accommodated many VIPs under special invitation categories considering high demand for council membership.
With some influential worshipers very lobbying for beds in the belief council, the state government has decided to point more special invitations to give them the opportunity to serve the deity of Tirumala resilience.
