Hyderabad: Staring at additional losses due to the increase in Diesel prices, Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) will increase bus rates for all bus service categories.
According to the plan, the increase will be 20 Paise per kilometer for the Pallevelugu bus and the city, while the Express Bus and a higher category will be 30 Paise per kilometer.
The discussion for this effect was held by the TSRTC authority on Sunday with Minister of Transportation P Ajay Kumar.
The Chairperson of TSRTC Bajireddy Gotordhan told reporters that the previous proposal for tariff increases had been revised due to the neglect of RS 10 Excise in Diesel prices.
The proposal was reworked to ensure that the average commuter bus was not burdened by the increase, lowering it from 40 Paise per kilometer up to 25-30 Paise.
After being reviewed by the Head of the Minister, the proposal will be placed in the presence of the Country Cabinet at the next meeting.
