New Delhi: Indian Table Tennis Federation on Saturday formed the Five Member Inquiry Panel to investigate charges of Batra Manika Batra beginners to Soumadep Roy’s national coach.
President TTFI-Deputy Chiranjib Choudhuri has been named the chairman of the demand panel that must submit a report within six weeks.
Janendra Jain and Parth Goswami are two lawyers in the temporary panel Yashpal Rana is another member.
The decision was taken at the TTFI executive meeting which took place virtually.
Manika accused Roy, a Commonwealth Games gold winner, has asked him to hold a match during the Olympic qualification in March and that is one reason why he did not receive his assistance during a single campaign in Tokyo Olympics.
The Indian team for the Asian Table Tennis Championship that will come in Doha will be announced on September 16, said TTFFI Secretary Arun Banerjee after the meeting.
He only repeats those who have taken part in the ongoing national camp will be eligible for the selection.
Manika hasn’t reported for the camp so far.
