Istanbul: Turkey sent a boat to help evacuate people and vehicles from the northern city on the Black Sea who were hit by a flood, because the death toll in the disaster rose Sunday to at least 62 people than remaining.
Heavy rain pounded the province of the northwestern black sea on Wednesday, causing flooding that destroyed the house, bridge cut off, swept the car and made many unshakable roads.
The Turkish Afad disaster body said 52 people were killed in Kastamonu Province, nine in Sinop and one in Bartin.
Turkish Interior Minister said 77 people were still lost in flooding.
Eight remained hospitalized.
The emergency crew in the entire area continues to look for lost in the middle of many buildings that partially collapsed.
The Turkish Ministry of Defense sent two ships to evacuate people and vehicles from the city in Sinop.
They also send military vehicles that can function as a temporary bridge to help get access to areas where the bridge is removed.
The Israeli defense ministry said that Sunday had reached Turkey with a bid to send a search and rescue team.
A heavy flood came after Turkey experienced a burning heat wave and when the crew in the south tame the forest fires that ran across the country’s Mediterranean coast.
Climate scientists say there is little doubt that climate change from coal combustion, oil, and natural gas encourage more extreme events _ such as heat waves, droughts, forest fires, floods and storms _ when the earth warms up.
