Ankara, Turkey: Authority evacuated houses in South Turkey as a fire pocketed by strong winds on Wednesday through the forest area near the Mawavgat Mediterranean coastal city.
Residents of four environments in the city were told to get out of the fire when firefighters worked to control the flames, Manavgat Mayor Muhittin Bokek told Haberturk TV.
Patients at the State Hospital in Manavgat were transferred to other hospitals as precautions, NTV announcers reported.
There are no direct reports of injury.
Not immediately clear what caused the fire.
Forest fires often occur in the Mediterranean and Turkish Aegean regions during the arid summer months, although some forest fires have been blamed for combustion.
