Istanbul: The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has slammed US reports on human trafficking which criticized Ankara to provide “operations, equipment, and financial support” to armed militias in Syria which recruited child soldiers.
In a statement at the end of Friday, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it was “fully rejecting” claims and notes clean.
The statement also accused Washington of “double standards and hypocrisy” pointing to American support for Syrian Militants Kurdish.
It citizes the UN report that documents the recruitment and exploitation of children under the umbrella of the Syrian Democracy forces.
Turkey said the Syrian militant Kurdish, who acted as the backbone of the SDF fighting the group of Islamic countries, was associated with Kurdish fighters who had rebelled Turkey for more than three decades and were designated as terrorists.
American support for them has become a big irritation in US-Turkish relationships.
On Thursday, the US State Department highlighted Turkey and 14 other countries for the use of children’s soldiers.
This is the first time the NATO allies are placed on such a list.
