Turkish Jet Targets Kurdish Position in Iraq, Syria

Ankara, Turkey: Turkish Warplanes attacked the alleged position of Kurdish militants in Iraq and Syria on Wednesday on Wednesday in a new air strike which according to its official aims to protect the Turkish border from terrorist threats.
A statement of the Turkish Defense Ministry said the strike reached the target on Mount Sinjar in North Iraq and Deric and Karacak in North Syria.
Operations in North Iraq are intended for the Kurdistan Workers Party, or PKK, in North Iraq, and the People’s Protection Unit, or YPG in Syria.
Beaten targets include shelters, caves, tunnels, depot ammunition, bases and training camps, the ministry said.
YPG was Ally Ally who was close to was but was seen by Ankara as a terrorist group because of its relationship with the Turkish Kurdish rebels.

It did not provide information about every victim of the strike but said the maximum sensitivity was shown ” about the security of civilians during the operation.
The Ministry of Defense said Turkey will `continue fighting against terrorism for the security of our country and our nation with determination until the last terrorist is neutralized.
“Turkey has carried out a similar cross-border air strike in the past.
The PKK has led a rebellion in Southeast Turkey since 1984 which has killed tens of thousands of people.
The group is considered a terrorist organization by Turkey and its allies, including the US and European Union.
