Coimbatore: A male elephant, between 12 and 15 years old, was found in banana plantations in Varappalayam village in Thadagam here on Saturday.
The main owner of Manoharan has told the forestry department official about the carcass on Saturday morning.
The front line staff of the coimbatore forest range visited the place.
Ashok Kumar District Forest Officer, Assistant Forest Conservator Dinesh Kumar, and Range Curitiers Arun Kumar, Santhiya, Palaniraja, Manoharan and Selvaraj then checked the place.
