Mumbai: Police Kate on Friday arrested TV actor Pracheen Chauhan on charges of persecution after the event manager with the South Indian film industry complained that he had committed him around 2am at Malad’s house (e) during the evening party.
He was given a guarantee by the Borivli court on Saturday.
The incident occurred, according to the police, after Chauhan invited a 22-year-old woman and her female friend to his house late on July 1 to attend the party he had arranged.
“The woman went to Chauhan’s house at her invitation, along with her friend.
There, the woman complained, the actor consumed alcohol and touched it in no right,” said a police officer.
Officers added, “After the incident, the victim went to his residence and came to the police station on Friday night.
His statement was recorded and the next case was listed under the relevant persecution, confinement and wrong attack.” Chauhan has worked in many TV series, including ‘Kasutii Zindaii Kay.’ (The identity of the victim has not yet been disclosed to protect his privacy according to the direction of the Supreme Court about cases related to sexual violence)
