Chennai: Twitter has introduced Emoji for Tamil Room, which can be activated with hashtags – #tamilspaces, #TamilSpace, # ் space, and # தமிழ் space.
Emoji described the purple blue microphone with the first letter (‘அ) from the Tamil alphabet on it.
This is the celebration of the Tamil language on Twitter as a Tamil audience, in particular, has been enthusiastic to be adopted early Twitter.
“Audience from Tamil Nadu is some of the most dynamic users of Twitter.
Over the past few months since the room is provided for everyone in India, the Tamil room has grown in frequency, reach, creativity and the scope of conversation.
Seeing this popularity, we want to encourage and recognize conversations #tamilspaces about this service, and so it feels right to introduce special emojis to add elements of pleasure and fan delight, “said Cheryl-Ann Couto, partnership manager on Twitter India.
“We look forward to sustainable and optimistic growth and involvement that emojis will encourage conversations on the timeline about all the cool things that occur in #TamilSpaces.” Emoji helps people identify and participate more easily in certain conversations, along with adding elements of pleasure and color to the text.
To celebrate and mark the chance of launching #TamilSpaces Emoji, Singer Chinmayi (@ChinMayi) held a virtual concert on August 6 and displays song requests from several fans who tweeted using tags.
