New Delhi: Twitter is violating the rules of the new IT India and is responsible for dealing with a punishment under the existing law, the center told the Delhi High Court on Monday.
The government added that non-compliance with “land law” would lead to the US-based platform loss of immunity as an intermediary for social media underneath.

In his written statement, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (Meity) registered “violations” by Twitter, said the company, on July 1, failed to appoint a head of head compliance, while the position of the Population Complaints and A Nodal Contact people (even on the basic interim) Serve.

Affidavit has been submitted as a response to the defense by Amit Acharya lawyer who claimed the microblogging platform was not in accordance with the new new IT rules.
