New Delhi: Twitter users may soon be used to use emoji reactions on the platform.
The giant social network is to test the emoji reaction to tweet.
At present, Twitter users click on liver icons if they want to like certain tweets.
The company has now revealed that it was testing the tweet reaction, giving users the choice to click on emojis like a sad face with one tear, crying face, face that thought or heart.
The company has also begun to test features with Twitter users in Turkey.
To access a tweet reaction, the user must press a long time on the heart icon on the tweet.
Twitter said that they decided to introduce a tweet reaction after conducting research on the most common words and emojis in tweets.
The company also conducts surveys about emotional user feelings after reading tweets.
The company said that the most common emojis in Tweet was Emoji’s face crying crying.
Twitter further revealed that users also felt negative emotions such as anger after reading tweets but the company had not put emojis for it in the testing phase.
Twitter said, “The people we talked to claim that they were worried about receiving a negative reaction to some of their thoughts and that if people felt this about their tweets, they preferred other involvement methods that allowed for a further context.” Recently, Twitter began testing new privacy tools.
Twitter has begun to test new privacy tools that allow users to remove followers without blocking them.
The company is currently testing the Remove Follower feature on the web.
Twitter also says that users can delete followers from the list of followers on their profile page.
