Vadodara: Two women from Ahmedabad were arrested by the Detective of Vadodara’s Special Operations Group (SOG) near Karjan because they had cannabis worth Rs 61,470 on Tuesday night.
Acting on a tip-off of two women who brought psychotropic substances originating from Bharuch, the police continued to oversee the vehicles that passed by toll roads near Karjan and found the Duo – Kamla aka Ganga Parmar – who claimed to buy a smuggle from a man near the station Railroad letter for sale in Ahmedabad.
When checking their luggage, the police at first did not find anything suspicious.
However, females constantly threw the duo in the bathroom, and found the packages sticking to their bodies.
The package completely contains marijuana weighing more than 6 kg, police said.
“Even though they haven’t admitted, the two women seem to be a professional drug vendor.
We have also received a telephone number of the man they bought marijuana, so we will trace that person,” said a police officer.
The police suspect that the stock of marijuana will be taken to a letter from Odisha in large quantities and then distributed to a smaller number of smaller sellers.
