A day following six Bangladeshi nationals were detained in relation to the attack and gang rape of a female, plus a Bangladeshitwo of these were taken in the leg by police after they attempted to escape through a place trip ancient Friday.
DCP (east) SD Sharanappa said the duo — Ridoy Babu (25) and Islam Sagar (23) — assaulted Banaswadi ACP NB Sakri along with a constable when attempting to flee through the recce in Kanakanagar, Ramamurthynagar.
Inspectors Melvin Francis along with SI Aravind Kumar R opened fire, wounding either from the leg.
They have been rushed to a hospital.
On Thursday, Babu and Sagar were detained and four others following a movie of this gang-rape went viral.
