Thiruvananthapuram: Excise officials Neyattinkara on Friday arrested two men in separate cases related to marijuana ownership.
While someone was arrested for planting marijuana plants in his place, others were arrested for having marijuana intended for sale.
Both arrests made in the Perumbazhuthoor area.
Officials identified the defendant was arrested for planting marijuana plants as Arun Kumar, 30, Arun Nivas in Perumbazhuthoor.
Officials also confiscated a 252 cm high marijuana factory which grew near the terrace of the car.
The range of Inspector S Sachin said the defendant was a living addict after the death of his parents.
His friends used to visit his house regularly for smoking marijuana.
Suspicious neighbors for activities at the residence warned excise officials, which lead to attacks and subsequent arrests.
The person captured with 1,200 grams of marijuana was identified as Britto Lal, 35, Kieliyidence.
He was arrested while carrying marijuana on his motorcycle by excise officials who conducted vehicle inspections at Perumpazhuthoor on Thursday night.
The arrest was recorded on Friday.
