Vadodara: Two farmers in Chhota Udepur Taluka were arrested on Monday for growing marijuana on their farm.
Police from the Zoz Police Station said that based on information that Jemta Rathwa and Kamless Rathwa had planted marijuana on their farm in Kevdi Village, they raided agriculture and found marijuana plants that grow among other plants.
The police burdened the plants collapsed and found it more than 377kg worth Rs 37.7 lakh on the market.
The defendant told the police that they had planted marijuana for the first time, even though the police had not explored where the duo managed to get seeds and to whom they planned to sell contraband items.
