Patna: Police have arrested two young men on charges of raping a 22-year-old pregnant woman in a village under the Mufassil police station in Buxar on Saturday and Sunday intervention.
Both were accused of Chauhan (20) and Lalji Chauhan (19) – forwarded to the judge by the Buxar court on Sunday.
The police said the woman was raped in front of her two small children – a son and daughter – around 1am.
The cry of the two children warned the neighbors after being accused of escaping.
They were then arrested by the police.
FIR in connection with the incident was registered at the Women’s Police Station in Buxar.
Sho of Women’s Police Station Nitu Priya said while the goal committed a crime, Lalji holding the woman tightly and clogged so she could not shout.
“The main entrance of the woman’s house was open due to hot weather.
Taking advantage of this, the two defendants entered the house and raped the woman.
His medical examination was carried out at a local hospital and the report was awaited,” Sho said.
He added that the woman alone in the village with two children when her husband worked in a private factory in another state.
Aware of DSP Gorakh Ram said it was still unknown whether the defendant had harassed the woman in the past or not.
“The police have started an investigation into the incident,” he added.
