Varanasi: Mucormycosis, generally called black illness, toll went around 19 with just two patients succumbing to the disease in the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) hospital until Sunday night.
Medical superintendent of BHU hospital Prof KK Gupta stated,”Between Saturday night and Sunday night, two mucormycosis infected patients expired during the course of therapy.
