Ajmer: Darigah police on Thursday captured two chain snatchers again, including a woman.
Recently, the police had arrested 30-year-old Mamata from Alwar for allegedly taking the chain of women’s worshipers who visited the Dargah Ajmer Sharif.
According to the police, on October 19, Shahana Parveen from Praygraj at Uttar Pradesh, came to pay respectfully in Dargah with his family when the defendant seized his gold chain from his neck and passed his hands.
Praveen and his family caught the allegations and handed it to the police.
During the investigation, the police found that Mamata handed over the gold chain to Anguri and the police began to look for it.
It was found that there were several cases of theft and looted registered against Anguri, police said.
The police traced Anguri (54) and arrested him from Shri Rampuri Colony at Jaipur Jawala Jawala with 38 years old, a resident of Faridabad in Haryana.
The police said that the gang worked as a team and took valuables from worshipers who came to Dargah Ajmer Sharif.
They continued to forward it between them and finally sold items in Delhi, police said.
Police said that they were investigating to find more gang members.
