NEW DELHI: Apollo Hospitals and Madhukar Rainbow Children’s Hospital at Delhi will Begin administering Russian Covid-19 vaccine Sputnik V to Qualified people at the end of the week, officials said on Sunday.
The Centre has already fixed the cost of the vaccine at Rs 1,145 each dose.
“Apollo Hospitals are likely to roll the vaccine out at Delhi at the end of the week,” an official told PTI.
A formal of Madhukar Rainbow Children’s Hospital also stated that it will begin administering Sputnik V jabs in this week.
Following Covishield and Covaxin, Sputnik V is the next vaccine to be accepted by the authorities to be used in India.
The most cost of Covishield for personal vaccination centers was fixed at Rs 780 each dose, although the of Covaxin is 1,410 each dose.
Dr Reddy’s labs, the advertising associate for Sputnik V at India, was importing the shots in Russia.
Within a time period, the vaccine can be likely to be produced in India.
