Two died because the flood flooded 21 Assam Regency, more than 3 lakh were affected

Guwahati: Flood Assam claims two human life on Monday – the first death reported in the country because of this year’s flood – as increased water from Brahmaputra and his children flooded 21 from 34 districts that affected more than 3.63 people.
More than 2.58 lakh were influenced in 16 districts on Sundays.
Death reported from Barpeta Hit Floods and Morigaon District.
According to the daily bulletin issued by the Disaster Management Authority Assam (ASDMA), at all 3,63,135 people, including 1,24,776 women and 70,544 children in 21 districts were affected.
According to the ASDMA bulletin, more than 950 villages are still flooded and more than 1,619 people live in 16 government-managed assistance camps.
Head of Minister Assam Himanta Buswa Sarma on Monday the official directed to divert traffic from the national highway.
Pobitora wildlife asylum has also been flooded.
Floods at Assam, were delayed by three months, flooded with 30,333.36 ha of plant land.
Meanwhile, 470 people and 1,056 animals were safely evacuated by the ship on Monday.
Officials said Brahmaputra and some of the compounds were swollen after the rain was unrelenting in Assam and side by side with Arunachal Pradesh.
According to the Central Air Commission report, Brahmaputra flowed above the normal level due to heavy rainfall in the past week which led to severe flood situations in Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Sonitpur, Dhubri Regency.
As many as 256,144 animals, including 126,396 large, 51,193 small and 78,555 poultry had been influenced by the current flood wave.
Overall 13 roads in Barpeta, Darrang, Golaghat, Morigon, Nagaon and Sivasagar were violated on Monday.
Largescale erosion has been reported from several places in Bersawan, Biswanath, Bongaigaon, Dibrugarh, Goalpara, Kamrup, Kokrajhar, Majuli, Morigaon, Sonitpur and Tinsukia, according to Bulletin.
Minister of Cabinet Pijush Hazarika visited Thowra’s constituency on Monday in Sivasagar Regency and examined the flood and erosion situation in the Riparian area and directed the Department of Water Resources to take the steps needed.
