Two died of accidents caused by wild livestock in Tamil Nadu

Chennai: Two young men were hit by a truck after they fell from their motorcycle on the road near Sholavaram on Saturday night.
They tried to avoid hitting wild livestock on the road, police said.
The deceased was identified as Vijayan, 21, and Bhuvanesh, 20, from Edapalayam in Tiruvallur.
Both are on their way to a red hill when cattle cross the road.
Vijayan, who rode a motorcycle, could not carry a vehicle under control.
The bike slipped and both fell on the road.
Lorry who came from behind running on the young man, killed them in place.
Sholavaram police registered a case and had launched an investigation.
At least 17 people were killed in accidents caused by wild livestock in the Tiruvallur district last year.
Most accidents occur at night when drivers and drivers cannot see livestock walking or resting on the road.
As many as 35 accidents were reported from various parts of the district.
Following a frequent accident, the police have warned the owner to oppose letting Bovines roam the road.
