New Delhi: Two doses of Covid-19 vaccine given to high-risk police personnel succeeded in preventing 95% death because Coronavirus in the second wave driven by Delta, according to ICMR studies.
This study, which was presented by members of Niti Aayog (Health) Dr.
V K Paul, was carried out in Tamil Nadu to see the effectiveness of the vaccine in preventing Covid-19 death.
Around 1.17,524 police personnel were analyzed for this study, where those who did not divid 17,059, while those who received one dose were 32,792 and those who were fully vaccinated were 67,673.
This study further showed that the number of Covid-19 deaths among police personnel who were not vaccinated were 20, while among those who received the first dose was 7 and the second dose was four.
In addition, the effectiveness of the vaccine on those who took the first dose was 82 percent and on those who took both doses was 95%.

“Covid-19-per 1000 death incident was 1.17 among those who were not vaccinated, 0.21 among some vaccinated and 0.06 in full vaccination,” research shows.
Sharing research, Paul reiterated the importance of the Covid-19 vaccine in preventing severe infections.
“We want to repeat that our vaccine is effective and very safe.
Pregnant women and nursing women must accept it.
Patients with cancer and diabetes even more in need in this requirement and here are real life data to show the effectiveness of the vaccine to prevent death.
Great,” said Paul.
“But we also have to remember that it’s not just a vaccine but we also need to cover up to prevent infection,” he said.
