VARANASI: 2 labourers belonging to Malda district of West Bengal (WB) were killed while six others suffered injuries in which a part of an older, dilapidated and partly demolished building fell on them at the Kashi Vishwanath Dham (corridor) region early on Tuesday morning.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sought out details of this episode by divisional commissioner Deepak Agrawal, and directed to guarantee best possible remedy for the wounded labourers.

“As it had been hot and humid in the library construction, we came out to bed in the open close to the darkened building.
But, all the sudden some of the construction collapsed at about 3.30am and we all had been buried beneath the debris, and” they added.
“On hearing the cries for help of those wounded labourers, their partners, authorities and many others present within the project area hurried to the place and began attempts to save them.
Following the labourers were hauled away from the debristhey had been hurried into the SPG Divisional Hospital in which Aminul Monin (40) and also Ibadul Momin (27) were declared dead by the doctors,” explained KVT principal executive officer (CEO) Sunil Verma.
“Abdul Jabbar, who endured grave leg accidents, was known to BHU Hospital for psychiatric therapy,” Verma added.
