Vadodara: Three more people found infected by Omicron variants from Covid-19 in the city.
Cases include a man who has traveled to the city from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and his wife and daughter.
49-year-old man who lives in the Manjalpur area has returned from the UAE on November 29.
He was sick the next day and was tested positive for Covid-19.
He has been stored in house isolation.
His wife (44) and girls (13) are also tested positively.
The genome sequencing report received on Friday night confirmed that they had been infected by the Omicron variant.
Meanwhile, the family was tested negatively for Covid-19 after remaining in isolation until December 17.
The sample to repeat the test has been collected on Saturday and the report is awaited.
With new cases, the total number of Omicron cases reported in the city reached 17.
On Saturday, 10 people were tested positive for Covid-19 in the city and district.
