Coimbatore: Kovilpalayam police arrested two famous thieves on Saturday and restored gold ornaments weighing 55 sovereign and motorbikes from them.
According to the police, both of them were involved in 10 theft at the KovilPalalayam computer boundaries and overturn themselves, the original population of the Thanjavur District, was arrested during the vehicle check in Kurumbapalayam-Kalapatti Road around 8am on the day by police supervisor Kovilpalayam Sivakumar and the team.
“They traveled with a motorcycle without a registration number plate.
When stopping, both of them gave a contradictory statement.
They were then taken to the police station.
During the interrogation, we learned that they were involved in a series of theft,” the officer said.
Introductory investigation revealed that Kannan faced three robbery cases in the Thanjavur District.
“They were involved in theft in Venkateshwara Nagar, Kottaiipallayam, Athipalalayam, Keeranatham, Kalipalayam, Vellanaipatti, Vishaka Garden and Devampalayam at the Kovilpalalayam police station and Krishnamurthy.
