Hyderabad: Two painters aged fifties were sentenced to life prison on Thursday as raping a 70-year-old woman in Malkajiriri in 2019 when she was drunk.
On December 17, Malkajiri police received complaints from the victim that he was raped by two people at their home after offering his liquor.
The victim, from Secunderabad, has the habit of consuming alcohol.
“People who were accused of being identified as CH Anthony George, 50, and N Vijay Kumar, 53, the two painters from Malkajgiri, approached the victim when he was waiting at the bus stop at Mirjalguda X Roads.
They offered to provide liquor to victims at home Anthony and took him to their residence in Mirjalguda, “the police added that the defendant made his consumer liquor excessively.
When the victim was drunk, the defendant had raped him.
After hearing a scream, the neighbors rushed to the place and saved him, said Inspector Malkajgiri B Jagadeeshwara Rao.
The police registered the case.
