Two groups collided, pushing for women’s police sub-inspectors in Mangaluru; 15 Arrested

Mangaluru: One car and six two-wheeled two-wheeled and a female police officer pushed around when two groups collided with each other with cricket stumps and stones on suspicion of old competition here.
Police Commissioner Mangaluru N Shashi Kumar said the case of Suo Motu was taken and 15 people had been arrested in the incident.
The Women’s Sub-Inspector, identified as Shobha from the bandke station, has filed a complaint about the clashes and attacks.
The source claimed that the old hostility triggered a fresh battle of clashes between the two groups, but police officers said they could only comment on the investigation.
In his complaint, the female officer said he and police officer Karibasappa was in a round of the night near the KSRTC bus stand when a motorcyclist told them that two groups collided near the Sai Nest apartment in Ballalbagh.
The clerk asked for a vehicle and Hoysala staff patrol and staff at the station to rush to the place.
When he reached the place, he said they found nearly 20 interesting people and pushed and attacked each other with stump crickets, pipes, sticks and rocks.
They indiscriminately hold the cricket stump, damaging the parked vehicles closely.
Shobha said that when he intervened to find out what the dispute was and offered a resolution, Dhiraj, a defendant, allegedly pushed him away and threw his walkie-talkie.
Some other people prevent it from issuing their duties by blocking the road.
