Two held for Displaced Individuals at ATM Centers

THANE: 2 persons have been detained for allegedly displaced people by sneaking their ATM cards to the pretext of supplying to assist them with money withdrawals at ATM centers in Maharashtra’s Thane district, authorities said on Friday.
The authorities have detained Rohit Pandey (29) and also Lakhendar Paswan (31) and regained 41 stolen ATM cards out of these, senior inspector Pramod Badak of crime unit-Virar said.
Tests have shown that the accused allegedly faked to assist clients in the ATM centers and stole their cards, even substituting them with fake ones,” he explained.
The duo is included in eight instances of cheating filed using all the Tulinj police station, ” the official stated.
The police also have captured a bicycle plus Rs 1.
27 lakh money from the accused,” he explained, adding the additional probe has been underway to ascertain whether the duo had cheated people.
