Thiruvananthapuram: Two men suspected of stabbing a man to death in the city were arrested by the police within a few hours after committing a crime.
Police fortress caught Sajeev aka Chathan Sajeev, 38, from Padassery near Attukal and Jayashankar aka Kannan, 38, from Nedumcaud, for killing Satheesh from Bund Road near the irumup.
The alleged crime occurred on Wednesday at around 8:30 a.m.
in a car workshop in Bund Road.
The two men, who came in the automatic rickshaw, attacked Sathhesh and stabbed him twice on the chest.
Even though he rushed to the hospital by his friends, he gave up on his injury.
Both of the defendants fled with the same pedicab.
However, they were caught tonight when they appeared at a public hospital in the city to treat the wound they met during a fight.
Inspector Fort Station House Inspector J Rakesh said the personal competition was behind the attack.
He said the victim was a regular visitor from the workshop where the crime was committed.
A few days ago, the two defendants had attacked workshop staff members.
Then, Sathhesh faced the duo and told them not to enter the irumup area again.
This is thought to be the reason behind the attack.
