Two held in Bhubaneswar to cheat the owner of the Stainless Steel company RS 1.17 Crore

Bhubaneswar: Wing Wing Wing (EOW) from the crime branch on Saturday arrested two people for allegedly posing as an IAS officer and assistant engineer of the Public Works Department (PWD) and cheated one Mukesh Jain, owner Rashtriya Stainless Steel Rs 1.17 Crore.
Duo Fraudsters were identified as Suryamani Tripathy and Amit Kumar promised to provide a large government contract to steel companies.
They took money through a fake Treasury Challan from Jain asking him that the company would be registered with a certain amount of PWD needed.
EOW has not yet revealed the name of a woman, who posed as a treasury officer to remove Challan and accept the money.
Jain kissed mice when there was no job assigned to the company.
Through RTI he knew the duo’s identity was fake and he had been cheated.
He filed a verbal complaint with EOW two weeks ago and the latter registered the case on Thursday.
Duo defendants have met Rikab Chand Munot alias Mukesh Jain at Odisha Niwas in New Delhi in 2017 through one of Rajesh Gahlot’s last friends, who are now in runaway.
Gahlot used to introduce himself as raw officers.
Suryamani introduced himself as an IAS officer who worked as an additional secretary, the work department and said that his office was in Nirman Soudh, Bhubaneswar.
Amit also identified himself as an engineer who worked in the same office.
After the meeting of Delhi them, the Duo won faith Jain and discussed the contract work.
The duo took Jain to the court of Bhubaneswar and prepared a fake agreement paper signed by the Assistant Engineer at the In-Chief Engineer Office, Nirman Soudh, said Deputy Inspector General (EOW) Jai Narayan Paskaj.
After the paper was ready, the duo called Jain from Delhi again and asked him to pay Rs 25 Lakh to register the Rashtriya Stainless Steel company.
Fake Challan is permitted with the help of a woman, who poses as a treasury officer and the money is stored.
The complainant does not have a fraudulent feeling because Conmen uses the government route for all transactions that look bonafide, added added.
EOW said Tripathy then issued a fake work order on March 15, 2018 and August 21, 2018.
To get trust, Tripathy asked Jain to give a receipt for the money paid by the work taken by Jain.
Tripathy has saved fake account letters that are ready to show Jain that Rs 4.68 Crore will be saved by the Work Department (20% of the total work order) on behalf of Rashtriya Stainless Steel required by money back.
