Thiruvananthapuram: a fight between the alienated couple to get custody in their child ended with the sister stabbed by her husband and accomplice.
The alleged crime occurred in Kalankavu under the boundaries of the Vithura police station on Tuesday night.
The police on Wednesday arrested his husband and accompaniment.
Binomon, 32, from Panavoor and Al Saj, 29, from Thonnackal was the defendant.
Vipin, 30, from Vidya Bhavan, Kalankavu is injured.
According to the police, the incident occurred at Vipin’s house on Tuesday night around 9:30 a.m.
Sister Vidin Vidya married binomon.
About four months ago, Vidya left binomon because of the alleged domestic abuse and returned to live with his family.
On Tuesday night, binomon appeared at his residence to bring the child with him.
When he refused, he began to attack him.
Vipin intervened to save his sister from beating.
But, he allegedly stabbed in the stomach by Al Saj.
The two men fled their homes after committing a crime.
A police team led by Vithura Station House Officer Inspector S S Sreejith and Sub Inspector Sudheesh and Baburaj arrested the defendant later tonight after their search with the help of local residents.
Inspector Sreejith said that Vipin’s condition was very important and he was treated in the intensive care unit of Medical Medical Hospital Thiruvananthapuram.
The intestine fell after being stabbed in the stomach.
Inspector also said that Al Saj was a perpetrator who was known to have criminal cases delayed in his name in Nedumangad, Mangalapuram, Kazhakootam, Kadinamkulam and police station Pothencode.
