Letter: Two incidents of fire were reported in the industrial unit in the City letter on Tuesday.
Firefighting officials said that at around 6.45 morning pedestrians told the fire department about the smoke originating from the sales unit and serving electronic equipment on Jalan Udhna-Magdalla.
The fire department of the Majura gate, Maan Darwaja fire station and Navsari Bazaar was pressed into the action to control the fire.
“The unit was locked when we got there, but the smoke came out through the gap between the leaves of the window.
When we open the unit, thick smoke that accumulates inside out,” said an API official.
“Once the unit of smoke fatigue, our staff can enter and sprinkle water,” he added.
When firefighters poured fire after a few minutes, the owner of the neighboring unit sighed for relief because units were packed with each other.
“We ensure that the fire did not spread to a neighboring unit, but the unit burned was truly broken hearted,” said the fire official.
All electronic equipment including refrigerators, air conditioning, television, computers, and furniture are destroyed in Blaze.
Another incident occurred in the cutting and polishing unit diamond in a building in Katargam.
Diamond polish machines, furnishings and air conditioning are destroyed, said fire officials.
“We suspect that short circuits can be a reason for fires in both places.
Because both units are closed, there are no injuries that occur,” API official said.
