Banihal / Jammu: Two people, including a teenage boy, was injured in the “mysterious explosion” along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway near the City of Banihal in the Raw District in Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Saturday.
The explosion occurred at around 11:15 a.m.
on Friday on the construction site of the company M g, which was building a Banihal bypass from the Jammu-Srinagar four lane highway project, they said.
Gopal Sharma (35) from Udhampur and Mohammad Aquib (16) Mangit-Khari, who was injured in the incident, was shifted to the hospital where their condition was declared stable, police said.
Police said the explosion occurred in the area between the company’s office and worker accommodation.
The police have registered cases with respect to the explosion and active investigation to ensure the cause.
Police and security forces were corrected from all areas near the explosion immediately after the explosion.
They have not ruled out the possibility of throwing a grenade by terrorist allegations to make panic among people.
