Thane: the driver and Tempo cleaners were killed after a container truck collided with their vehicle in the Thane Maharashtra district on Sunday morning, a civilian official said.
The accident lasts around 5.40 in the morning near Kharigon in Mumbai-Nashik Highway, Thane Municipal Corporation, Santosh Kadam said.
The container truck that came from the opposite direction collided with Tempo, which transported chicken from Nashik to Mumbai.
Tempo driver’s cabin was completely damaged due to the impact of the collision and firefighters had to use cutters to clean the debris and pull out the body, the official said.
The deceased was identified as driver Tempo Salman Khan (34) and Cleaner Paphoj Khan (32), he said.
The body was sent to the government hospital for postmortem, he added.
