RAMGARH: Two labourers were killed and others injured when an under-construction significantly diminished in Jharkhand’s Ramgarh district Monday, an officer said.
The incident happened when nine employees were building an irrigation well at Dulmi village beneath Rajrappa police station space, Ramgarh sub-divisional Officer Kirthi Shree G stated.
Five labourers were engaged in wall function once a chunk of ground caved in, likely because of heavy rain in the region, burying the others that had been working in the well.
While two of these died, others had been admitted to a hospital, the officer stated.
Each of the employees had been Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) card holders.
