Rajkot: In two separate incidents on Wednesday, two little girls were raped by young people who were included in their respective environments in the Rajkot district.
The two defendants have been arrested on Thursday.
While the first case was reported from Gondal Taluka, where a 12-year-old girl was targeted at Hadmatala Village, another surprising incident was reported from Pepavala Village Kotda Sangani Taluka where 10-year-old girl was raped by a young man in his village.
According to the police, the 12-year-old girl returned home after buying the sugar from the store’s closest store for a night tea when she was targeted by Ajay Vala.
After the girl failed to get back late at night, her grandmother went looking for her and found her bicycle outside a temple.
When he began calling hard while looking around, the old woman heard the girl’s voice from behind the temple and when she got there, seeing Vala escaped from the place without clothes.
When Grandma asked the girl what happened, the child below tells how Vala stopped it near the temple and dragged her in the bushes behind the temple, clogged with cloth and raped it.
He also said that the defendant threatened him to remain silent about the crime or that he would kill him and family members.
The woman took the girl to the Gondal Police Station where a violation was registered against Vala, which was arrested on Thursday.
In the second case, the 10-year-old girl was alone at home as her parents, who was a worker at the nearest factory, was going to work and accused Sunil Sarakveli, who lived in the same neighborhood, entering their homes in the village of Devala.
Finding it alone, the defendant raped the girl and when his parents returned home at night he narrated them his trials.
Sarakveli was also arrested after the girl filed a complaint at the Shapar Verava police station on the same night.
