Rajkot: The case of reducing suicide and money laundering was registered against two loan sharks at the Rajkot University Police Station.
The cases were registered after the complaint submitted by a woman whose husband ended his life by committing suicide on Thursday.
The complaint submitted by Divya Ajmeria stated that her husband Suresh took extreme steps after being harassed by Mehboob and his son Lalo.
Divya, a mother of two years – a five-year-old daughter and one year old child – has been married seven years.
Divya claims that the suicide note written by her husband Suresh said that one of his friends became unable to be traced after losing Rs 4 Lakh in gambling.
Then, the defendant forced Suresh to write a business he borrowed Rs 5 lakh from them.
The suicide record also stated that the Defendant’s Duo demanded Rs 2,000 every month and also threatened to kill his daughter.
Suresh paid the number for two months but then when he could not pay more accused demanding the interest of Rs 25,000.
Divya’s complaint further stated that her husband sold a gold ring to pay a partial number to the defendant.
